Battle Stations
Proposed CONSTITUTION
PREAMBLE
This association shall be known as Battle Stations , a 1/96th
scale warship combat club.
Our intent is for the sea battle's to closely simulate real naval battles
as were fought in WWI & WWII. To this end we have chosen a time period
of 1906-September 2, 1945 and a scale of 1/96th as we feel if will more
closely simulate real battles by having a wider array of boats on the water.
Concessions are made for game play, but only where following the real thing
would be dangerous or boring. Only ships that were commissioned prior to
September 2, 1945 and saw service between the period of 1906-September 2,
1945 are allowed.
In this hobby we are dealing with the past. In that regard, in cases
where what can be done to the model is in dispute, we refer to the actual
ship in question. Unless it states otherwise in the following rules, all
ships will conform to the real ship being modeled in form, function, and
operation, unless such operation causes an unsafe condition. Your weapons
systems cannot use technology that didn't exist prior to the end of WWII
in 1945.
Above all, we strive to battle safely, have fun, and have as realistic
naval battles as the constraints of safety, fun, and size will allow. Sorry,
no exploding shells.
