February Battle in Waiuku

With operating guns on all three ships, Arthur and Stu set off to do battle. We chose a public pond in Waiuku that is about 6 feet deep in the centre, and unfortunately full and ducks and theis subsequent deposits. Stu had to go swimming twice and ended up smelling like the er... duck deposits...

We didn't get many photos as we were both skippering and had too many ships - not enough captains. The Shimakaze had technical problems and didn't make it into battle but was on the water.

She went down with only minor damage and the new (untested) float deployed after a few anxious moments. After a couple of minutes on the bottom the firing servo got a glitch and permanently depressed the firing button of the stern guns, thus bleeding all the gas from the bottle in about 20 seconds. At least it looked cool.
